Beauty brands to try in 2018

My best friend and I always talk about products we would like to try next. We compare them to each other and all the reviews we have seen and heard online. We also always have enormous wishlists of products we would like to try, and I thought why not share a few of my top choices of products and brands I would like to try in 2018.

I also think this would be a fun tag to do if you are interested in makeup and skincare. You can also share this with your favorite bloggers and suggest for them to do it. This way we can all try to branch out and try some new brands in 2018. My goal is to get my hands on at least 3 of these products (I’m thinking Valentines Day, My birthday and Christmas, haha #Brokegirlproblems)

Drunk Elephant
For skincare, I wish I had some more affordable products on my wishlist but no. First of all, I have been following Drunk Elephant on my Instagram for years now and I am really intrigued by their products and would like to try a lot of them. I love what the brand stands for with eliminating ingredients that don’t do any good for our skin and adding effective ingredients that do good for our skin. (I know this sounds simple but believe me, a lot of brands care about a few other things more than what goes into their products)

Another super expensive brand, but their products are just pure beauty. Gorgeous simple bottles with products that seem to be super moisturizing and plumping without unnecessary harsh ingredients, exactly what I want. I would like to try everything from this brand but if I had to pick a product it would be The Essence Plumping Skin Softener.

Briogeo – Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-exfoliating Shampoo.
Since I have heard so much hype about Briogeo from both Kathleenlights and Tati on Youtube I can’t help but want to have a try on the brand myself. My top wish would be the Scalp Revival Charcoal, it sounds amazing! They claim that the product not only cleanses and purifies but also moisturizes your scalp at the same time. I have had only bad experiences with purifying shampoos in the past that just leave my scalp dry and itchy.

AMIKA – Bust Your Brass Cool Blonde Shampoo.
This is because I just can’t seem to find a purple Shampoo that is great at getting rid of brassiness while still being gentle and formulated without parabens and silicone. This shampoo seems to tick all those boxes and also has great reviews on Sephora. I would love to try multiple products from their brand but a really good purple shampoo is high on my priority list.

Fenty Beauty – Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation.
I would like to try anything from Fenty Beauty really but I feel like the foundation is my top pick. It seems like it would suit me quite nicely with a soft matte finish and a long-wear formula. I also love that the light shades seem really light!

Makeup Forever – Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation.
I have always wanted a stick foundation because I feel like they are the ultimate traveling foundation. It just seems like things would be so easy and effortless with a stick foundation. This particular one from Makeup Forever I have heard great things about so this would be my top choice for a stick foundation!

Brands to try in 2018

Tarte – Shape Tape.
I mean, this is such a cult favorite and I don’t think I have ever heard a single person dislike this product. While watching everybody’s “Top products of 2017” videos on Youtube, this concealer was mentioned more than any other product and I think it’s for a good reason, it seems great! I can’t wait to get my hands on this!

Nars – Soft Matte Complete Concealer.
Another full coverage concealer, this one in a pot. This also seems to have a large following of people loving it and I would love to try it as well.

Face products:

Charlotte Tilbury – Instant Look in a Palette Beauty Glow.
This palette just seems perfect for traveling. Where you have everything you need for your face in one place and with a big mirror. I actually mentioned it in my Luxury gift guide last year.

Physicians Formula – Butter Bronzer.
Pretty much the only drugstore product on my wishlist. I have wanted to try this bronzer out for so long but it’s not easy to get a hold of in Sweden or Finland. I like that it seems to blend out really easily and be a color you can build up so it’s not too crazy pigmented on my fair skin.

Zoeva – Cocoa Blend Palette.
I have wanted to try Zoeva eyeshadows for a long while now! They seem beautiful and pigmented. I like that pretty much all of the palettes have colors I would wear, there is no crazy pop of color that would go unused.

Juvias place – The Nubian Eyeshadow Palette.
Now we are talking some serious pigment! All the swatches I have seen of eyeshadows from Juvias place are unbelievable. And I remember seeing this brand when it launched and now it has grown into this huge brand. I find it really inspiring when people go for their dream and really make it! It’s so cool. And of course, the palette of my choice would be the one filled with beautiful neutral shades. Perfect for everyday wear.

Dose of colors – Bare with me.
I feel like this is the year when I branch out into more liquid lipsticks. Or I want this to be the year is more like it. I fell in love with the Colourpop liquid lipsticks and now I want to try all brands and all colors! But I vividly remember somebody recommended me Dose of Colors liquid lipsticks and that stuck with me so I still want to try their formula. If I had to pick one shade from them to try first it would be Bare with me.

Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks.
I really just want to find the perfect pinky-nude everyday lipstick that isn’t matte. I always find lipsticks that are too pink and too rosy and dark on my lips or then they are too pale and wash me out. So if I could find the perfect shade that could be my go-to nude lipstick for special occasions I would be thrilled. I really had a hard time choosing between Tom Ford och Charlotte Tilbury lipstick but the price got me on this one. The Tom Ford lipsticks are a little bit too pricey for me. And Charlotte Tilbury just seems like she got the pinky nudes down.

Other brands:

Lastly, I had to give a little extra shout out to Glossier. I mean if there is any brand that has been crazy hyped, it’s this one. I also feel like the whole thing where it’s only available in certain countries makes it a whole lot more exciting. But since I have no easy way of getting Glossier to Sweden I will just wait for them to get international shipping. I don’t have a specific product which I’m dying to try so I just mentioned the brand as a whole.

That is it for my Brands I would like to try in 2018. If you guys have tried any of these products that I mention please feel free to leave me your opinion about the products. Should I buy them or is there a better product out there? Let’s all have a big discussion in the comments. Do you guys have a product or brand that you wish to try this year?
